Here's how to plan ahead for Christmas 2026—and what to know before ordering a custom glass mosaic.
The Golden Rule: Start in October or Early November
For made-to-order gifts like engraved jewelry, custom portraits, and personalized artwork, starting in October or early November gives you more time for design reviews, production, and delivery.
Late-November orders may still be possible, but the closer it gets to Christmas, the more important it is to check each maker's actual schedule.
MosaicDIY Christmas 2026 Order Planning Dates
For MosaicDIY custom glass mosaic artwork, these are our target planning cutoffs, based on artwork size:
- November 25, 2026 — 30 × 40 in and 36 × 48 in. These larger formats typically require more production time.
- December 3, 2026 — 24 × 36 in and smaller. Smaller formats may have a shorter production timeline.
Important: These are order-planning guidelines, not guaranteed Christmas delivery dates. Production and international shipping schedules vary with the artwork, destination, carrier, and seasonal demand. Please check timing with our team if your gift has a fixed arrival deadline.
Your production timeline begins only after you approve the final Mosaic Preview and complete payment—not when you first upload your photo. Design refinements can affect the schedule.
After dispatch, shipping can take approximately 7–18 business days, depending on destination and shipping conditions. Production and shipping are separate stages.
Why Does Custom Mosaic Art Take Time?
Because it's a real physical artwork, not a printed picture.
Your photo is translated into a tile-by-tile mosaic design. We prepare a Mosaic Preview for you to review, then refine the design if needed. After you approve the final design and price and complete payment, we begin physical production.
We use real glass mosaic tiles, precision assembly, human finishing, and quality inspection. The finished artwork is then photographed, securely packed, and prepared for international shipment.
Each stage takes care. That's part of what makes the finished piece worth keeping.
What Should You Do Now?
